Students from universities holding an Erasmus Charter and having established Bilateral Agreements with Atlântica are eligible to participate in the Erasmus program.
Students interested in attending a course at Atlântica should first apply to the Erasmus Office at their University. Candidates for the Erasmus program are first selected at their home university.
The study plans are categorized by scientific area, including:
– Degree in Materials Engineering
– Degree in Aeronautic Engineering
– Degree in Aviation Management
– Degree in Management
– Degree in Health Management
-Degree in Systems Management and Computing

Upon the end of the study period, students receive an attendance certificate and Transcript of Records from Atlântica.
When the mobility goal is to undertake a work placement, Atlântica accepts applications to carry out work placements at the university.
Before the mobility period begins, selected students sign a Training Agreement. This agreement outlines the specific activities the student will undertake at Atlântica and is mutually approved and signed by Atlântica, the sending university, and the student.
At the end of the training period, students receive an attendance and completion certificate from Atlântica. This certificate ensures recognition of their placement by their home university.
Additionally, students/interns receive a document from Atlântica confirming their duration of stay at the institution.
The Academic Year at Atlântica varies depending on the course and year. The calendar detailing dates for all scientific areas will be released in June.
For incoming students interested in participating in courses for the upcoming academic year, applications can be submitted to the Erasmus Office by June 30th for the first semester and December 15th for the second semester.
The approval and dispatch of Learning Agreements to Erasmus Office coordinators at sending universities are typically completed before the end of July.
During this period, it’s essential for incoming students to establish communication channels with degree coordinators and Erasmus coordinators. We strongly recommend initiating these contacts well in advance of the deadlines to ensure a smooth transition into the program.
Within the Erasmus+ Program, Atlântica – Instituto Universitário is committed to ensuring equal access and opportunities for all applicants.
The Special Educational Needs Support initiative aims to foster the inclusion of students with diverse needs within the academic setting. This includes providing a conducive environment for quality education while identifying and addressing physical, communication, and information barriers that may hinder the social and school integration of students. The primary goal of this unit is to ensure that every member of the university community—be it students, faculty, or administrative staff—with any form of functional diversity or special educational needs has equitable opportunities for pursuing their university studies or performing their duties, thus upholding the principles of equal opportunities.
Applicants with special needs seeking participation in the Erasmus+ Program are entitled to an Erasmus+ supplementary grant, the amount of which is contingent upon the severity of disability and documented expenses. These applicants should notify the Mobility Office/International Relations/Erasmus at their respective schools of their needs and intention to apply for an Erasmus mobility, along with its Supplementary Grant. This grant has a distinct application process.
The Erasmus Office/International Relations will support the entire application process for the Supplementary Grant and inform the host institution of the selected participant’s special educational needs, ensuring the host institution’s capacity to accommodate them. This correspondence exchange (via email) is an integral part of the student application.
Various support infrastructures are available to students, including Library services, IT Support, Social Support, Students Association, and University Clinic.

TAXIS
Most taxis in Lisbon are easily recognizable by their cream-colored exterior with a roof-light. However, some taxis may still feature the traditional green and black color scheme. Within the city limits, taxis utilize taximeters to calculate fares. Outside city boundaries, the fares are based on the distance traveled, including the driver’s return journey to the starting point. Additionally, a supplementary fee of 1.60€ is applied for luggage placed in the car trunk. You can use the fare simulator available at ANTRAL to estimate taxi fares based on distance.
There are many different places to enjoy in Lisbon. The typical neighborhoods for nightlife or entertainment are Baixa, Bairro Alto, Chiado, Cais do Sodré, Belém, and Alfama.
If you want to experience a more modern Lisbon, you should visit the Parque das Nações. There, you can find the most modern buildings, enjoy a meal overlooking the Rio Tejo, or go for a bike ride.
